With over 10 years fieldwork experience on a range of sites across Europe, as well as research assistant work in museums and teaching courses on a range of archaeological sites and objects, I enjoy contributing towards important research on excavations each summer.

Excavations in Italy

  • Aug 2017 Fieldwork at Rofalco, Italy, (Gruppo Archaeologico Romano) – Etruscan fortress
  • Aug 2014 Fieldwork at Segni, Italy, (British School at Rome) – Roman cistern
  • May 2014 Fieldwork at Urbisaglia, Italy (Università di Macerata) – Early imperial forum, temple and cryptoporticus

Excavations in Greece

  • Aug 2019 Fieldwork at Sisi, Crete, (University of Louvain) – Bronze age Minoan palace
  • Aug 2018 Fieldwork at Olynthus, Greece, (Universities of Liverpool and Michigan) – 5th century BC domestic houses sacked by Philip II of Macedon
  • Oct 2013 Fieldwork at Akrotiri, Cyprus – Scholarship via Grampus Heritage/Erasmus+ to excavate 5th century AD Orthodox basilica including mosaics

Excavations elsewhere in Europe

  • Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd – Commercial construction sites throughout central and greater London with complex urban archaeology stretching from palaeolithic to 20th century finds.
  • Aug 2013 Fieldwork at Gjirokaster, Albania (University of Oxford and Università di Macerata) – Roman and Hellenistic city foundations including forum, temple and theatre
  • July 2011 Fieldwork at Cap de Cavelleria, Menorca – 5th century AD Roman basilica sacked by Visigoths. Won CE Stevens Scholarship for funding this excavation

Museum curation

  • Jan-May 2014 Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities, British Museum – Gallery audits and transcribing original 19th century excavation records for publication
  • Sept 2010 Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities, British Museum – Cataloguing material for the Naukratis project
  • 2007-2010 Natural History Museum, London – Work experience in several different departments including Entomology, Palaeontology, the International Commission for Zoological Nomenclature, and the Conservation Unit.

Tours

  • Apr-Jul 2015 Shore Excursions Assistant for Voyages to Antiquity- Intensive administration and logistics for tours across the Mediterranean aboard luxury cruise liner M/V Aegean Odyssey
  • March 2013 Oxford Naples Study Trip – Competitively selected for training scholarship, acting as a guide around several sites and performing presentations to the group
  • Sept 2012 British School at Rome – Competitively selected to attend 2 weeks of lectures and tours in Rome
  • Aug 2011 British School at Athens – Youngest member on this competitively selected course – intensive 3 weeks travelling across Attica and the Peloponnese, visiting over 40 sites and museums
